Nation’s Giant Hamburgers,
Citrus Heights, CA

How do you turn a drab 1960s strip mall corner into an eye-catching marquee? This was the design challenge posed by Nation’s Giant Hamburgers, a successful Bay Area chain moving into the Sacramento market. Our solution: a combination of stainless steel, wood-patterned porcelain tile, glass and brilliant neon. Sleek, modern and bright – this corner catches the attention of motorists on a busy thoroughfare. Inside, bright accent walls and upholstery mix with traditional elements that include schoolhouse lights, booth seating and quilted stainless backsplashes. The combination is a fresh take on a traditional hamburger diner, modern yet comfortably familiar. Interior design by Benning Design Associates. Photos by Don Satterlee.
